A MOLDED AMBER AND RESIN ‘CHILONG DRAGON’ SNUFF BOTTLE China, Republic period (1912-1949) or later. Of elongated baluster form with a slightly spreading circular foot, rising to waisted cylindrical neck. The body formed of amber, with the exterior applied in molded resin and worked in openwork and high relief with a dense arrangement of intertwined chilong dragons, their sinuous bodies coiling around the vessel. Stopper: Matching amber stopper, metal spoon Dimensions: Height 65 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 16 mm (neck) and 6 mm (mouth)
