Ɏ AN IVORY ‘COURT LADIES’ SNUFF BOTTLE, c. 1920 China, late Qing Dynasty to Republic Period (1850-1949). Of elongated baluster form, rising from a recessed oval foot to a cylindrical neck, surmounted by a domed stopper with lappets décor and a final knob. The exterior carved in relief depicting elegant court ladies in flowing robes and holding a fan in one hand. Stopper: Matching ivory stopper, carved spoon Dimensions: Height 70 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 12 mm (neck) and 9 mm (mouth) Trade Certificate: The trade certificate for the sale of this lot within the EU has been granted (permit number 24PTLX02542C).
