Ɏ AN IVORY ‘BOYS AT PLAY’ SNUFF BOTTLE, c. 1920 China, late Qing Dynasty to Republic Period (1850-1949). Of flattened baluster form with a short oval foot rising to a cylindrical neck. The ivory exterior with a fine patina carved in relief, depicting playing boys surrounded by rockwork, bamboo, and flowering lotus, all framed by key fret and scrolling borders. Stopper: Turquoise stopper with black platelet and a coral inset, carved spoon Dimensions: Height 83 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 18 mm (neck) and 7 mm (mouth) Trade Certificate: The trade certificate for the sale of this lot within the EU has been granted (permit number 24PTLX02502C).
