Ɏ A CANTON SCHOOL IVORY ‘PAVILION SCENE’ SNUFF BOTTLE, QING DYNASTY China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The rounded rectangular form, rising from a short oval foot to sloping shoulders, surmounted by a cylindrical neck with a flat rim and a domed stopper. The ivory exterior with a fine patina, carved in relief depicting elegant ladies and attendants within a garden pavilion setting, framed by flowering branches, rockwork, and draped foliage. The shoulders decorated with geometric and floral borders. Comes with a carved wood stand. Stopper: Matching ivory stopper, carved spoon Dimensions: Height 85 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 25 mm (neck) and 11 mm (mouth) Trade Certificate: The trade certificate for the sale of this lot within the EU has been granted (permit number 24PTLX02463C).
