Ɏ AN IVORY MOONFLASK SNUFF BOTTLE, c. 1920 China, late Qing Dynasty to Republic Period (1850-1949). The flattened moonflask body, raised on a short spreading foot, rising to a cylindrical neck, and surmounted by a domed stopper. The ivory with a fine honey patina, depicting in red and black ink an elegant court lady amidst bamboo and rockwork on one side, the reverse with a mountainous river landscape. Stopper: Matching ivory stopper, carved spoon Dimensions: Height 84 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 20 mm (neck) and 7 mm (mouth) Trade Certificate: The trade certificate for the sale of this lot within the EU has been granted (permit number 24PTLX02504C).
