Ɏ A WOOD AND IVORY-INSET ‘IMMORTALS’ SNUFF BOTTLE, c. 1920 China, late Qing Dynasty to Republic Period (1850-1949). Of flattened oval form, supported on a rectangular ivory foot, rising to a short rectangular neck, and flanked by pierced lug handles carved with scrolling motifs. The wood body with ivory inset plaques depicting immortals beneath scrolling clouds and flowering branches. Stopper: Matching wood stopper with ivory platelet and ivory finial, carved spoon Dimensions: Height 81 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 18 mm (neck) and 8 mm (mouth) Trade Certificate: The trade certificate for the sale of this lot within the EU has been granted (permit number 24PTLX02509C).
