A HORN AND BONE ‘DRAGON’ SNUFF BOTTLE China, Republic period (1912-1949) or later. The flattened circular body carved from horn with a dark brown and creamy ivory tone, with broad rounded sides and a tall waisted neck. Each main side inset with an openwork bone roundel depicting a sinuous dragon amidst scrolling clouds. Stopper: Horn stopper, carved spoon Dimensions: Height 77 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 14 mm (neck) and 11 mm (mouth)
