A GREEN SANDWICHED GLASS ‘MELON’ SNUFF BOTTLE China, Republic period (1912-1949) or later. The compressed ovoid body, raised on a circular foot and rising towards a short conical neck. The snuff bottle made to resemble a lobed melon with leaves on one side and surmounted by the matching stopper in the form of the melon stem. The pale green glass suffused with streaks of brown and darker green tones. Stopper: Matching glass stopper, carved spoon Dimensions: Height 70 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 19 mm (neck) and 5 mm (mouth)
