A GLASS ‘SPIDER’ SNUFF BOTTLE China, Republic period (1912-1949) or later. Of flattened octagonal form with gently rounded edges, rising from a rectangular foot to a short cylindrical neck. The bottle worked in relief from translucent smoky-amethyst glass, depicting a spider centered within a meticulously incised web on either side. Stopper: Silvered metal stopper with green and coral glass insets, metal spoon Dimensions: Height 62 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 15 mm (neck) and 6 mm (mouth)
