AN INSIDE PAINTED AND OVERLAID GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE, AFTER YE ZHONGSAN China, 20th century. The bottle of ovoid form with sloping shoulders, supported on an oval foot and rising to a cylindrical neck with concave mouth. The interior finely painted with a scholar in a mountain landscape, the reverse with a fisherman on a boat drifting along an idyllic landscape, beside the signature. The exterior carved through a bright orange layer with C-scrolls framing the images, a wave-patterned ground with lotus vines, and a lappet band around the upper neck and foot. Inscriptions: Inscribed Ye Zhongsan with a seal mark. Stopper: Glass on bronze fitting, metal spoon Dimensions: Height including stopper 75 mm. Diameter neck 16 mm and mouth 6 mm.
