A BLUE OVERLAY AND INSIDE PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE, c. 1920s China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Of globular form, raised on an oval foot, with a shot cylindrical neck, and a flat lip. Each main side outlined in blue overlay with an oval panel separated by mask and ring handles on the narrow sides. One panel inside painted with depiction of a retreat compound, nestled amongst trees by a river and surrounded by mountains, and the reverse with two birds and prunus tree branches. Dimensions: Height 55 mm. Diameter neck 21 mm and mouth 11 mm
