A LOT WITH TWO ‘AGATE IMITATION’ GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES, c. 1920s China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The pair consists of a first smaller bottle of flattened baluster form, supported on an oval flat foot, and rising to a wasted neck with a flat lip, with raised beast mask mock handles on the shoulders, the translucent body of a mottled olive-gray tone with ‘inclusions’ of dark brown and black. The second larger bottle of rounded rectangular form, rising from an oval foot to a cylindrical neck with a flat lip. The warm, amber-toned body with ‘inclusions’ of white and caramel brown, and two small circular ovals in black on both sides. Dimensions: Height 53 mm and 69 mm. Diameter neck 17 mm, 21 mm, and mouth 6 mm (each).
