A LOT WITH AN AGATE AND A GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE, c. 1900s China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Each well-hollowed, the smaller bottle carved from agate, of flattened, globular form, rising from an oval foot with a recessed base to a slightly tapering neck with a notably wide, gently concave rim, the translucent stone of an icy-white hue with subtle pale brown veining, with an agate stopper. The larger bottle of glass in imitation of agate, of flattened, trapezoidal form, supported on a short, oval foot and surmounted by a straight neck with a very wide, slightly concave rim, the translucent glass of a greyish tone with dark and honey-amber shadings, with an associated agate stopper. Dimensions: Height 8.2 to 9.4 cm (incl. stopper), Diameter neck 2.6 to 2.7 cm, Diameter mouth 0.6 to 0.7 cm
