拍品描述
A GROUP OF TWO AGATE SNUFF BOTTLES, 19TH CENTURY China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). Both of flattened ovoid form with gently rounded shoulders, rising from a short oval foot to a cylindrical neck, the narrow sides flanked with stylized beast mask handles suspending mock rings. The first snuff bottle of warm honey to russet tones with natural clouding, topped with a glittering goldstone stopper. The second is of a translucent grayish-cream agate suffused with rich brown swirls and dendritic inclusions, fitted with a white glass stopper. Stopper: One goldstone and one white glass stopper, carved spoons Dimensions: Height 59 mm, 51 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 18 mm, 17 mm (neck) and 8 mm, 9 mm (mouth)
