A LAVENDER AND GREEN JADEITE FIGURE OF A MEIREN, c. 1900s China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Finely carved standing, the beauty dressed in a long flowing robe tied at the waist, and holding a tasseled flute, dizi. Her hair is tied in a tall chignon and her face shows a gentle smile. The opaque stone of a pale lavender tone with ochre veining and accented by patches of apple-green. Firmly mounted to an associated reticulated wood base.
