AN ARCHAISTIC PALE CELADON JADE ‘DOUBLE DRAGON’ PENDANT, HUANG, LATE QING DYNASTY China, 1644-1912. Of flattened arched form, finely carved in openwork and detailed in relief, centered by a small disc with a twisted rope border, flanked by two reticulated, addorsed dragons whose sinuous bodies extend upwards. The pendant is decorated with comma spirals (guwen) and ruyi-shaped scrolls. The semi-translucent stone is of a pale celadon-white tone with cloudy inclusions and faint russet veins.
