A RUSSET AND CELADON JADE TURTLE PENDANT, QING DYNASTY China, 1644-1912. Finely carved as a recumbent turtle with a gently domed shell, the translucent jade displaying attractive tones ranging from pale celadon and cream to rich russet and brown. The reverse with two drilled suspension holes, indicating the piece was originally worn or mounted as a pendant. Turtles have long been revered in Chinese culture as symbols of longevity, endurance, and protection. Dimensions: Length 9.7 cm
