A ROCK CRYSTAL FIGURE OF A RECLINING DAOIST IMMORTAL China, Qing dynasty (1644-1912). Finely carved from transparent rock crystal as a reclining Daoist immortal resting on one arm, wearing long flowing robes and with an exceptionally long beard cascading over his chest. The face is carved with a gentle smile, and the figure is shown in a relaxed pose. The transparent stone displays natural veils and inclusions.
