the pair of heishi of turned and assembled wood with curved top and everted sides, the sharply tapered bodies narrowing towards the broad base in an s-curve above a high foot, the spout rising from a raised circular platform, decorated in red lacquer on a black lacquer ground with stylised flowers and foliage, accompanied with a fitted wood storage box each approx. 33.4 cm. high
