the rectangular cabinet with detachable drop front and two loop handles, decorated in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, kirikane, keuchi and kimpun on a gold lacquer ground, with the Fifty-three Post Stations of the Tokaido, the names of each post station in a gold lacquer rectangular reserve, the panoramic landscape with Mount Fuji and meandering clouds, the interior of the drop front with the thatched entrance and walls of a mansion residence surrounded by clouds, cherry blossoms and a willow tree overhanging, the drop front opening to reveal four drawers with silvered loop handles with pierced chrysanthemum bases, the drawers variously decorated in red, green, gold and silver lacquer with hanabishi shippo, keyfret design, kikko and shokko, dense nashiji interiors, fundame rims, the fine silvered metal fittings chased and engraved with further keyfret design 21.4 x 31.2 x 17.2 cm. high
