AN INDIAN PAINTING OF SAINTS AND ADORANTS, MUGHAL EMPIRE, 18th-19th CENTURY North India, Rajasthan. Opaque pigments and gold paint on canvas. Finely painted to depict two saints at the center, their heads backed by radiant aureoles, accompanied by four adorants, one holding a fan, dressed in traditional attire, backed by hills and trees, all below cloudy skies, and framed by a band of alternating red and blue blossoms on a black ground.
