A BRONZE FIGURE OF SRIDEVI, INDIA, 19TH CENTURY India, 19th century. Sridevi is depicted in the traditional tribhanga pose, her body gently curved with pronounced hips and slender limbs, creating a silhouette of timeless beauty. She stands on an integral base, richly ornamented along with her body, enhancing the sense of divine elegance. She wears a stana-pata (breast band), signifying her status as a revered, married goddess, and holds a lotus bud in her hand, symbolizing purity and divine grace. Dimensions: Height 9.1 cm Sridevi, a form of Goddess Lakshmi, embodies spiritual energy, divine grace, and prosperity, and is often depicted on the right side of Lord Vishnu. Known as ‘the beautiful one,’ she represents the unseen spiritual realm, radiance, and wealth, complementing her sister Bhudevi, who symbolizes the tangible Earth and material abundance. She is widely revered as a manifestation of happiness, love, and beauty in the Hindu pantheon.
