A BRONZE FIGURE OF RAMA, INDIA, 18TH-19TH CENTURY India, 18th-19th century. Rama, the heroic prince of the Ramayana, is rendered in the classical tribhanga pose. The figure stands atop an integrated lotus base with its hands joined in anjali mudra. A bow is held at its side, while a quiver is slung across the back, identifying the deity as a divine archer. Richly adorned with jewelry and rendered with graceful proportions, the figure embodies the idealized beauty associated with divine beings in Indian art. Dimensions: Height 7.3 cm
