A BRONZE VOTIVE FIGURE OF HAYAGRIVA WITH CONSORT India, c. 15th century or earlier. Hayagriva, the horse-headed incarnation of Vishnu, is depicted with his consort Marichi, both seated on an integrated base. Hayagriva’s distinctive equine features are carefully rendered, though his arms and other attributes are no longer visible. The overall modeling remains robust and expressive, and the simple, tactile craftsmanship underscores the figure’s role as a portable devotional object, emphasizing both sacred presence and ritual significance.
