A BOW-SHAPED NATURAL BANDED AGATE CHUNG DZI BEAD WITH 18K GOLD MOUNTING Tibet, 19th century or earlier. Of bow-shaped form, crafted from a high-quality natural banded agate, exhibiting a natural gradient of colors with mineral inclusions. The stone of translucent white with amber, brown and opaque white stripes. The bead is fitted with 18K gold caps on both ends, of a later date. Central drilling allowing for suspension as a pendant. Dimensions: Length 4 cm Chung Dzi beads are characterized by striped or banded patterns that often form naturally within the agate.
