A ‘TASSO TIGER TOOTH AND LOTUS BUD’ AGATE DZI BEAD Tibet, 19th century or earlier. Of small oval-shaped, featuring two tiger teeth bands to the center flanked by three lotus buds to each side. The translated agate of brown agate with striking white etched patterns. Central drilling allowing for suspension as a pendant. Dimensions: Length 2 cm The Lotus Bud Dzi bead symbolizes spiritual awakening, hidden potential, and the unfolding of inner wisdom. Its motif, formed by lotus-bud shapes derives from the lotus flower’s profound significance in Buddhism as an emblem of purity emerging from the material world toward enlightenment. The Lotus Bud Dzi was associated with karmic purification and personal transformation, helping its wearer overcome negative influences and move toward spiritual clarity and liberation. The Tasso Tiger Tooth Dzi bead is a powerful symbol of strength, courage, and protection. It is associated with the ferocity and resilience of the tiger, an animal revered in Tibetan culture for its fearlessness and dominance over negative forces. The sharp, angular stripes represent the tiger's fangs, signifying the ability to ward off evil, conquer obstacles, and instill confidence in the wearer.
