A Victorian Satinwood, Rosewood, Burr Walnut, Ebonised and Gilt Metal Mounted Card Table, by Gillow & Co, circa 1830 - 1860, the highly figured top with gilt metal beading, rosewood banding, burr walnut stringing, revealing red baize lined interior, with highly ornate engraved hinges, the frieze inlaid with ebony stringing and on conforming turned and fluted supports and trestle feet, 36.5ins wide x 19ins deep x 29.5ins high Note: Underside of top stamped "Gillow & Co with registration number 2910" - for similar Gillows stamp see - Stuart (Susan E) 'Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840', Volume 1, page 95, plate 55
