A 19th Century Mahogany North Country Longcase Clock, by Brown of York, the 14ins arched painted dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and phases of the moon to arch, the spandrels painted with figures and dogs in a landscape, to the eight-day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in case inlaid with cross bandings, with moulded scroll pediment, turned and spiral reeded columns to hood, shaped trunk door, flanked by spiral reeded columns, on plinth base with bracket feet, 98ins high
