Vernon Hill, British 1887-1972, The Ring, circa 1920; monochrome etching on wove, signed, titled and numbered in pencil, 3/30, image: 22.5 x 20.8cm, (framed) (ARR) Provenance: The Collection of Henry Potter Stevens, artist and connoisseur of Asian art. The mystical and allegorical etchings of Vernon Hill encompass influences from Peter Blake, Dante, mythology, symbolism through to Art Deco. Hill produced small editions of prints in this case only 30 making his etchings very rare.
