Complete set of (36) proof art bars issued by the Danbury Mint, each struck in 5,000 grains of sterling silver. Each bar features a high-relief portrait of a President of the United States on the obverse. The reverse is die-struck with significant historical events from that president's administration, along with biographical information including dates of birth and death and the president's term of office. The collection begins with George Washington and concludes with Richard Nixon. Housed in the original fitted wooden presentation case. Each bar is stamped, "Presidential Ingots Collection First-Edition 5000 Grains Sterling Silver.". Each sterling silver art bar weighs approx. 5,000 grains, equivalent to 10.40 troy ounces (gross).
