Blonde Girl'. Oil on canvas. Signed lower left. Provenance: Morton Galleries, NY. Note: Amy Londoner, was born in Lexington, Missouri in 1878. She moved to NYC, and was the pupil of Robert Henri and John Sloan, both members of The Eight and founders of the Ashcan School. Londoner exhibited at the Society of Independent Artists in 1910 and from 1918-1943, and the landmark Armory Show of 1913, among others. She later went on to teach art at the anarchist Ferrer Modern School in New York City. She died in 1953. Property of a Stillwater, PA collection. Dimensions: 24" h x 20" w.
