THOMAS WRIGHT: A GEORGE II BRASS MOUNTED WALNUT STICK BAROMETER CIRCA 1730-1750 Hinged door enclosing signed scales 99cm high Thomas Wright (-1767) learned his trade under John Rowley and was active from 1718. He traded at the sign of The Orrery & Globe, Fleet Street, London and appointed Mathematical Instrument Maker to His Royal Highness, George, Prince of Wales (later George II).
