The deep, rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to a slightly flared, white-dressed rim. The interior and exterior are covered with a rich, mottled copper-red glaze of deep crimson and crushed-strawberry tones. The glaze exhibits fine characteristic pitting, subtle dark speckling, and under-the-glaze crackle, thinning to a pale mushroom hue to pale celadon near the rim. The base is left white-glazed.
