The circular box is heavily cast with a flat cover, finely worked in repousse technique with dragons chasing a flaming pearl amidst swirling clouds and stylized flames. The center of the cover is inset with a carved pale greenish-white jade plaque depicting a pierced floral or openwork pattern.
