拍品描述
The bodhisattva is elegantly carved, seated in meditative posture. The rounded, serene face features downcast eyes and an introspective expression, flanked by long earlobes. The head is surmounted by a high, stepped chignon enclosed by an elaborate openwork tiara. The figure is draped in flowing, heavily folded robes that cascade over the knees and feet, leaving the chest bare, revealing a deeply undercut, ornate yingluo necklace. The entire surface applied with layers of gilding over a dark lacquer ground, with areas of natural crackling and wear.
