TWO TERRACOTTA IDOLS, EARLY 2ND MILLENNIUM B.C. A pair of hand-modelled terracotta idols, each rendered in a highly stylised, abstract form. The first figure features a triangular lower body with incised horizontal bands, a columnar neck, and a head adorned with a coiled plait and applied pellet eyes. The second displays a bulbous, rounded torso with exaggerated breasts, short bent legs, and a pinched, knob-like head. Both exhibit a warm buff surface with traces of red slip and areas of light surface accretion. The geometric silhouettes and schematic anatomical features are characteristic of early 2nd millennium B.C. fertility or votive figures. Measurements: Height: 14cm
