A FINE NEO-ASSYRIAN RED JASPER CYLINDER SEAL CIRCA 750-650 B.C. A fine Neo-Assyrian red jasper cylinder seal, carved in a deep reddish-brown stone with darker and lighter natural inclusions. The cylindrical surface is engraved with a complex figural scene, including standing human or divine figures, vegetal elements, and a winged solar disc above, all arranged in a continuous composition intended to be rolled out as an impression. The carving shows the dense, formal style associated with Neo-Assyrian glyptic art, with elongated figures, ritual or courtly iconography, and finely incised details.
