Horses and dogs Hunt scene Antique 19th century majolica Oval Platter features a vibrant green embossed scene of horses and a Forrest, attributed to Adams & Bromley, or earlier as John Adams, a famous majolica maker from Staffordshire England in the late 1800s, featuring an intricately molded hunt scene with horses , dogs, Figurals and Forrest, property of former Majolica Specialty antiques dealer and collector, Manhattan Dealer and Scarsdale NY Estate, there is a deep brown center well, short pedestal base, wide green sides and border and shaped handles vibrant greens and rich browns, along the outer rim there is a raised gothic script which reads with thankfulness eat thy bread Measures approx 13 in long by 11 3/4 in wide by 2 1/4 in deep.
