Mid-Century Modern brutalist ceramic bottle vase by Charles Sucsan, featuring a sculpted face design. Signed on neck. Charles Sucsan (Canadian, 1932-2022) was a prolific multidisciplinary artist recognized for his significant contributions to the decorative arts in Quebec. Born in Paris to Hungarian parents, he studied art in both Paris and Budapest, notably apprenticing under master ceramicist Florencio Fernandez, a close associate of Pablo Picasso.
