Antique white porcelain ginger jar or large tea caddy in the Chinese Export Armorial style by Samson, Edme et Cie of France, the bulbous body with hand painted floral design and a large faux Armorial crest featuring a crown and fleur-de-lys in gold on a cobalt ground, the matching lid set on top with a gilded foo dog finial, marked on base with Samson pseudo Chinese mark, circa 1880. Dimensions: 12 inches H x 6.5 W.
