Continuing Tiexin’s signature Neo-Figurative realist approach, the work constructs a distinctive emotional image that oscillates between microscopic precision and overwhelming visual impact. Through this strategy, the artist embodies what he describes as a philosophy of the “middle metaphysical” (xing er zhong), situated between the tangible and the transcendent. The series also extends Tiexin’s ongoing reflections on space and life. Employing a minimalist visual strategy, he challenges conventional notions of color and temporal-spatial perception. In its state of full bloom, the lily becomes a vessel connecting past, present, and future, here and elsewhere, traversing multiple dimensions of time and space.
