附原装木箱，手套及ArTy ReTroR艺术家签名作品保证书 这件作品是艺术家曾梵志标志性“面具”系列的跨媒介延伸，也是与ArTy ReTro合作推出的限量艺术玩偶，让平面绘画中的经典形象以实体化的方式走进当代潮流文化语境。作品直接脱胎于曾梵志90年代开启的“面具”系列油画，将画中戴面具的人物形象转化为1:6比例的实体玩偶：玩偶保留了原作最核心的视觉符号：一张惨白、夸张的面具脸，有着程式化的大眼睛与僵硬的表情，这正是曾梵志笔下“面具人”的标志性特征。并以精致的手工涂装还原了面具的质感，搭配定制的浅棕西装、羊毛衫，让这个符号化的玩偶延续了原作对人性与社会关系的探讨。 This work is a cross-media extension of Zeng Fanzhi’s iconic Mask Series and a limited-edition art collectible developed in collaboration with ArTy ReTro, bringing one of the artist’s most recognizable painted figures into the context of contemporary collectible culture. Derived directly from the Mask Series paintings initiated in the 1990s, the work transforms the masked protagonist of the original canvases into a 1:6 scale three-dimensional figure, allowing a classic image from contemporary Chinese painting to take on a new physical presence. The collectible preserves the most essential visual elements of the original works: a pale, exaggerated mask-like face with stylized oversized eyes and an expressionless demeanor—hallmarks of the “masked figures” that have become synonymous with Zeng’s artistic practice. Through meticulous hand-painted detailing, the texture and presence of the mask are carefully recreated, while a custom light-brown suit and wool sweater further enhance the figure’s character. By translating a painted symbol into a tangible object, the work extends the artist’s ongoing exploration of human nature, social relationships, and the tension between appearance and inner reality.
