Mark of Wen Xia (Boyang), Chinese, b. 1957. An ink and color on gold flecked paper hanging scroll depicting humorous vignettes of life in Old Beijing, including a traveling entertainer with a performing monkey, a man undergoing a tooth extraction, a barbershop scene, and a "xiu jiao ren" street pedicurist. Calligraphy with two artist seals upper right. Silk with minor toning and foxing, water stain to silk at lower rod, some creases and wrinkles. Image 12 1/2 x 51" high, mounted on a silk scroll, 18 x 80 3/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $100-200
