A Chinese ink and color on silk hanging portrait scroll of The Jade Emperor. Depicts Yu-Huang, one of the representations of the primordial God, seated on a throne with dragon head finials, wearing traditional robes, under a ceremonial canopy with two attendants at his sides. Water stains and minor damage along the upper edges that extend into the painting, some discoloration and ink transfer, small tear at upper rod, some creases and minor wrinkles, chip to one finial. Image 29 1/2 x 64 1/2" high, mounted on a silk scroll, 33 1/2 x 84 1/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $200-400
