Mark of Liu Yanchong, Chinese, 1807-1847. An ink and color on paper hanging scroll depicting a Bodhisattva, likely Mahasthamaprapta, the Bodhisattva of Great Power, holding a lotus bud standing on a lotus amongst the clouds. Calligraphy with artist seal upper left. Toning, some foxing and water stains to silk scroll, paper thinning with very minor losses, three small punctures to scroll's right side, some creases and minor wrinkles, lacks one finial. Image 24 3/4 x 50" high, mounted on a silk scroll, 31 3/4 x 84" high overall. ESTIMATE $200-400
