Mark of Empress Dowager Cixi, Chinese, 1835 1908. An ink and color on paper hanging scroll depicting a Blue and White jardiniere with Pink and White flowers, surrounded by a border with scrolling dragons chasing flaming pearls. Calligraphy signed by Li Baoxun with a seal upper left, large Empress Dowager Cixi seal upper center, additional characters and upper right, label verso with characters and an additional Empress Dowager Cixi seal. Toning, very slight foxing, paper thinning with some fading and surface wear, minor smudges/paint transfer, some wrinkles. Image 25 1/2 x 46 1/4" high, mounted on a silk scroll, 31 1/2 x 78 1/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $300-500
