Mark of Zhao Shao'ang (Chao Shao-an), Chinese, 1905-1998. An ink and color on paper horizontal scroll depicting birds and insects flying among the branches of a large lychee tree. Calligraphy with two artist seals upper left. Several short linear cuts to the silk scroll and a few into the painting at the right side, minor toning, foxing and color transfer, some wrinkles and wear to scroll edges and corners. Image 96 x 48" high, mounted on a silk scroll, 119 x 55 1/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
