AUTOGRAPHED LETTER BY AMERICAN SURGEON JOHN COLLINS WARREN Dated September 5, 1829 Letter from Dr. Warren to his daughter, Mary. Framed with a portrait print of Warren and the mailing envelope. Letter 10" x 8" sight. Framed 15.5" x 17". Notes: John Collins Warren was a founder of Massachusetts General Hospital and The New England Journal of Medicine, and he was also the first dean of Harvard Medical School. He is most famous for authorizing the first use of anesthesia in a surgical patient.
