拍品描述
Japan, Meiji period (1868–1912). Three-tiered tea set consisting of a teapot, a sugar bowl and a milk jug, made of Satsuma pottery and richly painted with polychrome and gilded representations of figures in traditional robes, surrounded by stylized clouds and patterns. The finely crafted details and characteristic gold accents are characteristic of the high quality of Satsuma ceramics from the Meiji period.
