拍品描述
China, 19th century. Lot consisting of eighteen finely hand-painted images on rice paper, kept in two original boxes. The depictions show scenes from daily life in China, such as crafts and social interactions, on the one hand, and explicit depictions of punishment and torture, as are more common in Western export series from the Qing dynasty, on the other. Executed in bright colors with careful detailing.
